Question: My baby boy is 4 months old.. He is having a loose motion problem.. What would be the best cure.

Keep him well hydrated. ORS powder in water every 2-3 hrs will be useful. Zinc containing syrup will also be useful. If stools is foul smelling or loose motions persists for longer then consult a pediatrician as baby might need antibiotic treatment. Hope it helps

If baby is having vomiting along with loose stools then probably he might have gastrointestinal infection. It will be better if you consult a pediatrician for him as he will need antibiotic treatment.
