Brief Answer:
hold off solids, fluid and electrolyte replacement, probiotics, peptobismol

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Acute diarrhea is most often due to viral or bacterial infection. IN most persons the symptoms last less than a weeks, most usually 3 to 4 days.

Treatment involves: (1)holding off solid food till there is a 4 hour window with no symptoms.

When this four hour period occurs, start with a small amount of dry foods initially- toast, biscuits.
Brat diet can also be used

Use fluids to prevent dehydration- gatorade, powerade or other rehydration drink that can give back both fluids and electrolytes

(2)medications such as lomotil or peptobismol. These would both help with any diarrhea if it recurs but the pepto bismol would also help with indigestion, nausea

(3)probiotics- either on their own or in yogurts would help shorten the course of the symptoms

(4)any pain can be treated with paracetamol

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
