Suggest Treatment For Severe Cramps On The Calf Muscles

Question: I got a severe cramp in my calf muscles, this happened last midnight.... additionally, I often get the cramp in my calf muscle, frequency would be twice a month. pl suggest the reason of midnight cramp and medicine. once cramp comes for 30 minutes it will be totally unbearable pain. after that mid amount of pain will be there for 24 hours.

Hi Sir.

I understand your concern.

The acute onset of muscle cramps in your case possibly relates to gross electrolyte abnormalities.

There could be associated drop in serum electrolytes like sodium and potassium related to excess /strenuous work during the workload.

This can be treated with One glass full of one electrobion XXXXXXX once daily for 3 days.This will replenish lost electrolytes.

Additionally hydration, warm or cold compresses, exercising, or calf stretches may provide some benefit.

Drugs like Vitamin B complex (including 30-mg vitamin B6) for 1 month is also very effective.

Please consult your doctor with regards to the above medications.

Additional work up is needed only if the cramps does not subside with above measures.
