Question: hello, my girlfriend is very nauseous and she keeps throwing up and the throw up is completely black. please advise?

I understand your justified concern.

Black or brownish vomit is a sign of bleeding in the stomach, the blood gets broken down by the hydrochloric acid in the stomach and thus becomes black or brown.

Large amounts of such vomiting indicate a severe bleed, probably due to a bleeding ulcer.

She will need to be taken to the ER immediately as the continued blood loss will result in shock and collapse.

Please call an ambulance or take her to the emergency room immediately.

You may update me about the progress once everything is settled.
