Brief Answer:
Remedy for acne

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am Dr.Kakkar (Dermatologist).
I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.

Have you ever been under any treatment for acne?

I would suggest an oral antiacne antibiotic e.g either Doxycycline or Minocycline. Oral antibiotics are more effective for controlling inflammatory types of acne (Please obtain the necessary prescription from your local physician).

In addition, I would suggest a Ketoconazole based shampoo(e.g Nizoral), either daily or on every alternate days.

For facial acne you may use benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel during the day. At night you may use Adapalene 0.1% gel over acne prone area. Both of these are drying therefore you must use them sparingly.

Use a gentle cleanser for face wash e.g cetaphil gentle cleansing lotion. Avoid harsh cleansers as it may cause excessive dryness.

Regards
