Question: My right thigh is aching. Started when I was just sitting around last night and still is aching pretty badly. I have intermittent claudication in that leg but I take Pletal for it and it only bothered me during exercise. I am worried about a blood clot?

Brief Answer:
It is possible for clots to develop. Please get a Doppler done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic and Thanks for your question.
I am a Vascular Surgeon and will try to help you.
Since when do you have claudication pain?
Did it start in the thigh or calf region?
Have you undergone and Doppler study of your limbs or CT Angiogram?
If yes please share the report.
If you think the pain is severe and started suddenly then it could be a clot and you should see a Surgeon soon.
If your leg or foot is feeling cold or if you have problem in moving your great toe upwards then you should definitely get a Doppler study done to know the status of the arteries and start on Inj LMWH(Low molecular weight heparin) twice a day.
Take care and do let me know the answer to above questions and I would be able to help further.
