Question: I have abdominal pain for 8 days and have had a CT scan that came back normal and blood and urine tests have come back normal. Have had a hysterectomy so no chance of pregnancy, any other ideas of what could be wrong?

upper abdomen below the stomach, pain mostly on the left. Sometimes it's a sharp stabbing pain then dulls to a dull ache. Have had some nausea, no urinary complaints.

Brief Answer:
As explained below.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
Noted the feedback. Pain left sided, upper abdomen, sometimes sharp stabbing, then dulls, nausea.
The possible causes as per the history you have provided are:
Hyperacidity for which you have already been given medicine.
Add on Antacid gel every three hours, particularly when on empty stomach.
Another possibility in this area is colitis.
Take Anti-spasmodic round the clock and see the results.
You may need an upper GI Endoscopy.
Get the stool test done, this helps sometimes.
