Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain With Nausea

default
Posted on Thu, 14 Jul 2016
Question: I have been experiencing pain in my lower right abdomen just below belly button level. The pain started gradually and slowly increased. It became so bad that I went to the ER but by the time they took me in it the pain started to diminish, and became a burning sensation, the ER doctor diagnosed it as musculoskeletal pain and took me off of work for three days with restrictions for the next seven days. Now when ever I move I feel a strong pressure in the same location and while I am not running a fever I do feel nauseous at even the thought of food.

Brief Answer:
Sore muscles cause pain on movement and nausea is a reflex thing to occur

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Male/20 - ER Doctor diagnosed the pain in the abdomen as musculoskeletal - took you off the work for 3 days and restrictions for the next 7 days - strong pressure in the same location on movement - there is nausea even at the thought of food...

Muscluloskeletal means, the muscles of the abdominal wall have gone into inflammation.
All the abdominal muscles automatically act during any movement. And since they are inflamed, there will be pressure and pain.
Nausea is most of the times reflex and is an indication that something is not right so that a person does not eat. Due to the problem in the abdomen, the nausea is a reflex activity of the body and will settle automatically once the recovery occurs.

Take rest, take the medicines as advised.
