Brief Answer:
Most probably your uncle may be suffering from sensorineural hearing loss

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your question; and it suggest that most probably your uncle may be suffering from the sensorineural hearing loss.

I would like to also suggest that your uncle may go for the
1. Pure tone audiometry and
2. Impedance audiometry

to rule out the cause of hearing loss and degree of hearing loss.

I would like to also inform that above mentioned tests are absolutely necessary for the further management.
