Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Diet , sunlight exposure and medication can play a role in the formation of the tear film. It can also be disrupted by conditions/infections associated with the mebomian gland and eye lids. The eye should be examined and if any cause is found the it should be treated.

Photophobia can occur in a number of conditions. If this was transient sensitivity then it can be ignored. However if it persists or recurs with partial or complete loss of vision in either eye the slit lamp examination should be performed.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
