Suggest Treatment For Sebaceous Cysts In Pubic Area

default
Posted on Sat, 14 Jun 2014
Question: For years, since I was about 17..now I'm 27.. I've had what appears to be in-grown hairs right below my pubic bone in that area. They've stayed there this whole time. Sometimes they'll become infected and it basically looks and feels like a pimple. Once they pop they stop hurting and go back down to just little red dots but they never fully go away. After I shower I noticed they are a darker red and once I'm dried off for awhile they go back down to light-red pinkish color. What can I do to get this to away? Also I have them on my buttocks and lower back also. I just embarrassing because I don't want them to be confused with an STD when I start dating again. Thanks. Also there are little red dots that look similar on my thighs..been there for years since I was young. I've seen them fade temporarily at random times in my life but then they reappear shortly after

Brief Answer:
sebaceous cyst

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the photographs.
These are sebaceous cysts.
Ingrown hair can be a cause for these.
These need to be removed surgically.
There is no medical cure for these.
Please meet a dermatologist and get these removed.
Don't shave your pubic region, instead you can trim the hair.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you
