Brief Answer:
Topical steroid+ salicylic acid lotion and coal tar+salicylic acid shampoo

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone through your query and I have noted down your concern. Scaly, itchy patches on scalp seem to be a part of either seborrheic dermatitis Or scalp psoriasis.
You may try a topical steroid+salicylic acid lotion e.g Topisal-6% lotion (contains clobetasol propionate 0.05% and salicylic acid 6% in a lotion form). Apply it twice daily over affected parts of the scalp.
Also you must use a shampoo, specially a coal tar and salicylic acid based shampoo e.g Protar lotion. Lather it well into wet scalp and allow it to act for at least 4-5 minutes before rinsing it. Use it every alternate days.
These are prescription medications and I suggest that you use them under supervision of a dermatologist in your vicinity.
