Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic
I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your concern and I have understood it.
I would keep a possibility of Fungal infection/Tinea corporis. It looks as a well defined, scaly lesion/patch with raised red margins and central darkening and thickening of the skin/Lichenification (secondary to scratching).
If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to apply a topical antifungal cream containing either Clotrimazole, Sertaconazole or Luliconazole twice daily for 2-4 weeks.
An oral antifungal e.g fluconazole 150 mg once every week for 4 weeks is also advisable.
An OTC antihistamine e.g cetrizine 10mg once daily would help you symptomatically in dealing with the itching.
I hope this answers your query
