Brief Answer:
There is muscle spasm

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Sorry to hear about your fall and hope you are not in much discomfort.

As X ray pelvis has been done and no fracture is seen therefore there is no possible serious injury.

However, due to the fall, the muscles in your lower back and pelvis might have suffered a spasm and this is causing your severe pain.

Muscle spasm pain is noticed a day after the injury and might continue to the next 72 hours. You had the fall 48 hours back and right now your muscles might be in spasm and inflammation. This is because the muscle injury causes release of inflammatory chemicals which is usually after 24 hours following the injury. This is the reason people feel comfortable on the day of injury and from the next day the pain starts.

Please apply heat pack and ointment containing muscle relaxant ans pain reliever over the painful areas. Take oral pain medications after food. Give yourself rest. The pain will come down in 3 days.

Wish you quick recovery.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
