Question: Hi, my daughter is 13 months old today. She has been crying in her sleepy, very restless and at nights she settles down if i give her gripe water. Doc has suggested us to deworm her as that could be the reason. Do you think, that could be the reason and is 13 months too early for deworming?

Brief Answer:
Could be a nasal block or ear infection too

Detailed Answer:
Hi...Restlessness in sleep and excessive cry could have many reasons...not only worms in the stomach.

I have a few questions for you -
1. Is she picking at her ears during the cry?
2. Is there any cough and cold or fever?
3. Is she grinding teeth at night or going for stools immediately after feeds?
4. Does she drink milk very fast?
5. Is she relieved after passing flatus?

Kindly get back to me with answers to the above questions and I will adivce you further. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. Wish your kid good health.
