Suggest Treatment For Red Discoloration On The Penis Head
Question: Hi, Im a 48 yo married male...I noticed that my penis head is reddish in color for the past cpl of days...no swelling or pain or any discharge though...I didn't have sex lately...just masturbating on occasion....I did have a sensation of stinging when urinating a cpl of weeks ago...lasted just a cpl of days only...
I didn't have any sexual contact other than my wife - she has no complains...

Glans is richly supplied with blood. The color of glans penis may vary from pink/red to pale blue or purple. Color may vary with the degree of erection, ambient temperature etc.
Rough masturbation may also be a cause for glans appearing more red. Another cause may be a mild candidal/ yeast infection Or irritation to soaps etc.
Otherwise I don't think this is a cause for any serious concern.
Wash this area with plain lukewarm water.
You may use an otc topical antifungal e.g clotrimazole 1% cream preferably in combination with hydrocortisone (Canesten-HC), twice daily for a week and that should make it fine
