Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. If you do not mind too much sir, could you please attach a clear image of the affected region to our discussion for my examination.

Also, I would appreciate it if you could reply to the following questions:

+Are you sexually active?
+If yes, then is your partner known and do you have one partner or more than one?
+Have you ever been diagnosed with any sexually transmitted infections?
+Has your symptom appeared after any recent sexual activity or masturbation?
+Was the genital region left moist or wet for a long duration before the symptom appeared?

I look forward to hearing from you in order to help you further.

I am always here to help, do not hurry

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

I would appreciate the image, but based on the current information provided the indications of this possibly being unrelated to an infection is the absence of itching and penile discharge.

But I would only like to comment further after examination of the image. Do not be tensed, and do not worry. Take your time, and send the image once you get off work.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
A few suggestions along with most likely causes

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the image sir.

The image does raise questions, it could in my opinion be related to:

1. Burn rash: Either due to the use of a razor on the region and the sexual activity resulting in the skin (that is sensitive) in the region to result in the development of a burn rash which will subside on its own along with the following instructions:

+Use a topical antibiotic like bactracin or neomycin
+Keeping the region dry and clean at all times
+Changing inner wear at least once a day
+Do not scrub the region
+Mild soap in the region
+Avoiding sexual activity for at least 2 weeks

or

2. Possible sexually transmitted infection requiring further investigations, preferably in 5-7 days time (especially if the rash persists). We can wait and see if the rash disappears with care and time, which would mean it was a burn rash (follow suggestions listed under option 1)

It is difficult to accurately diagnose you without a few laboratory investigations, so i recommend the following:

+Check with your partner and ask her if she experiences anything different since your sexual encounter
+Also ask your partner who she was with last, before you and since then if she had any symptoms
+Get an STD-panel conducted

I hope you understand what I am trying to explain, and please do not hesitate to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Thats unfortunate, try to get topical neomycin

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

That complicates things, in Russia (where I practise) there is no such issue, and similarly in XXXXXXX (which is where I am from).

In that case, use a topical neomycin ointment which should be available without a prescription. Try that, or else just leave the region dry and clean, and lets see if the rash resolves on its own.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Will do for now, but not the best choice

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

It can be used but for a short duration of time, and if at all you do not experience an improvement in about 3-4 days then please discontinue it. Also, look for allergic reactions, so please use a very small amount on your forearm skin just to make sure you are not allergic.

Best wishes.

I was looking a bit closer at the area last night and it appears that i actually cut it while i was shaving, im almost convinced from where it is and as much as i sweat at my job that it possible got infected, i got the neomycin today and ill start using it tonight... Hopefully i will see some improvment, this morning it seemed to be looking a bit better and atarting to heal

Brief Answer:
Great to know sir

Detailed Answer:
Hi sir.

Thats great that we found the cause to it. As I mentioned earlier, it does not really look like any sexually transmitted infection, which is why even I recommend a basic antibiotic ointment to apply to the region as I too suspected a mild infection (not sexually transmitted).

I hope and pray you recover at the earliest. Do not keep the cream on all the time, just overnight, and for a while in the afternoon. Let it be dry rest of the time, this allows it to heal as well.

Best wishes sir.
