Question: Have horrible case of hives that have lasted more than six months have had shots prednisone blood tests different prescriptions nothing is helping

I understand your concern.Your symptoms might not be subsiding because the causative agent must be near or around you.

The most common foods that cause hives are nuts, chocolate, fish, tomatoes, eggs, fresh berries, and milk.In some cases, though, the cause may be thyroid disease, hepatitis, infection, or cancer.

I would strongly suggest you to go for an allergy profile test and look for the causative substance.In your case taking a skin biopsy would be more helpful in diagnosing.

I would suggest you to take tablet containing Monteleukast and levocetirizine for one month to look for any relief and prevention of hives.
