Question: Hi Doctor

I am suffering from frequent headache. Not sure though but frequency is about once in 2 weeks.
Last summers were very bad & went to doctor, he suggested migraine. Took medication for around 2 weeks & then left..
I have identified that bright light is one of the triggers & have started taking precuations since then.
I take disprin, please suggest is it ok to take 3~ 4 disprins in a month, also please suggest an alternative to disprin.

Brief Answer:
You seem to have migraine. It is okay to have 3-4 disprins a month.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thank you for posting your query.
I can understand your concern.

As you mentioned bright light as a triggering factor , most probably the headache you are experiencing is due to migraine.

There are many medications for an acute attack of migraine like Acetaminophen , Aspirin , triptans, ibuprofen and others.

Aspirin can be taken maximum 8 tablets a day.

Please do not discontinue medications without the doctor's advise.
There are drugs for prophylactic prevention of migraine like propranolol . They prevent you from getting an attack.

I would suggest you to consult your physician. He/she can examine you and correlate clinically and guide on the further management.

Hope this helps.
