Brief Answer:
Need some more information as there could be some other underlying cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. From the given presentations seen from the images and their location, it does seem like this could be more than a pimple/acne issue.

I would like to ask you a few more questions, to better understand them if you do not mind, because if there is some other underlying condition causing them, wouldn't you want to know?

+Have you ever experienced any boils or such lesions around your mouth/lip region before?
+Are you sexually active?
+Do you have a partner? And how many partners have you had till date?
+Have you ever experienced any cold sores or blisters around the mouth/lip region often; especially when you fall sick or your immunity is low?
+Please write back to me with the names of the ointments used over the given region?
+Have you ever been tested for sexually transmitted infections?

I look forward to hearing from you in order to help you further.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Best to leave it open, dry and clean; do not apply anything over it for now

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again ma'am.

Thats good to know and much of a relief. The only reason I asked is because your presentation and location matched that of herpes, which is why I wanted to makes sure herpes was adequately ruled out. I would much appreciate it if you would either way go ahead with a herpes blood test to rule it out completely.

But in the meantime, for the acne, peeled skin and blister like appearance; please make sure you leave it open, clean and dry. Do not apply anything on top of it as it is best left dry and to heal naturally. Just the same way as we leave a blister to heal, and not cover it up with any sort of bandage or dressing.

In a few days time the blisters (if present) will pop on their own, and the dry and dead skin will eventually peel off. I would only request you not to peel it off on your own and so this would not result in any infections.

Avoid saliva or any other fluids to come in contact with the affected region, and do not indulge in any oral sexual activities including kissing to prevent infections. Please also feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
Yes of course it is ma'am; yes it can

Detailed Answer:
Hi ma'am.

Yes, it is possible for herpes to appear years after a blood test was conducted, purely because you could have been exposed to the infection just recently and thus contracted the infection. This could have happened just a few days ago, making the test conducted years ago obsolete.

Yes, herpes starts as a cold sore and then spreads slowly. Please write to me with any further clarifications to better understand what you are experiencing, and attach any images of sores around your body that you are suspicious about (mainly oral, lips, mouth, genital regions).

Best wishes.
