Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Crotch

Question: Hello Doctor,

My baby is 9.5 months old.Baby gets a very bad rash near her crotch when we use disposable diapers.The rash is soo bad that it turns into a sore with redness.We keep applying coconut oil and Himalaya diapher rash cream..It heals and then all of a sudde n it comes back again.

Kindly advise and I feel really bad to see my little baby go through such pain.

Most of the time rashes in the groin area are due to excessive moisture and continuous friction.
The main thing you have to take care of is that the affected area must be dry.
Keep the affected area in open air after passing urine/stool to make it dry. Use zinc oxide containing cream like Rashfree or Happinap.
Also avoid using tight diapers or cloths to prevent friction.
