possibly due to virus; can you send a picture? can you also report if he is having any other symptom?

Apart from the slight fever no. Hes eating and drinking, playing. The rash does feel raised in parts and is all over, even on his face

Brief Answer:
Please provide a photo of rash on face...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back my dear,

Thank you for providing the requested photo and details.

1. You are saying that the rash appears in all his body parts including his face. It could be great if I have a picture of the rash in the face, so I could distinguish if it is the case of fifth disease or not (the rash on face is like slapped face).

2. However, I do not see it might be contagious as the rash might be due to viral infection associated with low grade fever which might have caused this rash.

I advise to observe his :
- vital signs
- monitor his body temperature
- give paracetamol for the fever

Hopefully, he will be better in a few days.
