Brief Answer:
Please upload a photograph

Detailed Answer:
Hello, greetings

I had gone through your question and I can understand your concern

in shingles there will be unilateral fluid filled rashes mostly associated with severe pain

it has typical appearance, if you can upload a photograph I will be able to tell you exactly whether it's shingles or not. You have a feature to upload the image by yourself on the right side of this query page. Please utilize it.

other possibilities could be a local allergy please consult a dermatologist for detailed examination and an antihistaminic group of drug for itching and a calamine lotion to be applied locally on rashes

If it is shingles, surgery has to be postponed until it heals properly

Hope I have answered your question please feel free to ask for further assistance I will be happy to help you

wishing you both a very good health
Regards

The question was specifically can the surgery still be performed with shingles? Surgery is scheduled for Monday march 2. Please address the question.he is in a lot of pian. He tore his quad tendon. Surgery is imperative.
Again, the question is can he still have the surgery on March 2, 2015

What are ramifications of having the surgery on Monday?

Brief Answer:
He can not undergo surgery with shingles

Detailed Answer:
Hello greetings
thanks for your reply

surgery can't be possible with active shingles

As he is in severe pain than there are chances that this could be shingles

the torn quadariceps tendon can be managed conservatively until it heals

I hope I have answered your question
if you have any further clarification please feel free to write us I will gladly answer you
