Suggest Treatment For Pimples Near The Eyebrows Of A Child

Question: Dr, My 2.5 year old son suddenly developed pimple between his eyebrows day before yesterday, today we could see swelling around pimple extending to his eyes also redness around the affected area . Could please advise any ointment for relief .He is not complaining of any pain as such ,no fever no other major symptoms. Attached pics for your ready reference .

Thanks for writing to us.
I have seen the attached pictures.
Nothing alarming.
It looks like a small furuncle or boil. This is common in summer and is due to bacterial infection.
My tips
1. Try antiseptic soaps like Dettol for cleaning at least 3 times daily.
2. I usually prescribe fusidic ointment for local application twice daily for a week.
Usually this should help.
However if not improving, or if swelling increases or if he develops fever or dullness or pain, consult your doctor immediately to rule out pus formation.
If so it needs to be taken out ( small procedure ).
