Suggest Treatment For Pimple Inside The Left Nostril
Question: Hi Dr
4 days back , there is pimple or boil developed inside my left side nostril. May be due to extreme heat hete in XXXXXXX
I started augmentine 500 mg twice a day since last 3 days and since pain is more so taking ibrufen.
Now today is 5th day and pain is reducing but pimple is still not fully repaired.
Pls let me know if any cream or medicine need to be applied.
Photos attached extetnal side of nose and pimple is inside.

As per your description it seems that you are having painful boils inside your nose. It is harmless condition and can be cured completely with conservative management.
Some minor boils can even heal without any specific treatments. Since you are having the problem for about five days specific treatment is requires.
You can try the following as a first line management:-
(1)- Continue your antibiotic treatment for five to seven days.
(2)- Apply an antibiotic ointment which is enriched with zinc onto the surface of the boil. You can try over the counter creams like Tbact for the same.
(3)- Avoid nose picking. Especially during healing period.
(4)- You can continue analgesics like ibuprofen to get relief from pain.
(5)- Apply warm compress onto the affected nostril for symptomatic relief.
(6)- Check your blood sugar level to rule out diabetes,which can cause recurrent attacks of boils anywhere in the body.
If the symptoms persist despite all these consult an ENT physician and get evaluated.
