Brief Answer:
It could be Pancreatitis or Lactose intolerance or Sprue.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Your treatment till now seems to have been on the right lines.

I suspect your brother could be suffering from Pancreatitis.
Have you gotten an Ultrasound Abdomen or Upper GI Endoscopy or CT Scan of abdomen done?
I suggest you get a blood test of Serum Amylase and Blood Sugar(Fasting & Post prandial)done and an Ultrasound where the Radiologist should look at the pancreas and comment accordingly.
If the Ultrasound is normal then a CECT Abdomen should be done.
If the pancreas is normal then other pathologies can be entertained.
Does he consume alcohol or smokes?
Also, keep a watch on his weight with a weekly record of the same.
He could also be suffering from Lactose intolerance or Intestinal sprue(Celiac sprue).
With the above investigations you should consult a Gastroenterologist who should be able to help you and treat you properly.
Do not worry, he should be fine with the correct complete diagnosis.

Feel free to ask any queries on this issue.
Take care,

doctor!
1) is there any chances of gallstone, cholecystitis, cholengitis??if yes ,then please prescribe diagnostic test for them also so can findout them.
2)i have heard from somewhere if a person have stone in kidney than paralally chance of stone in gallbladder also.
3)can we neglect this value of sgot/sgpt 50/62 and cosider the pain just cause of indigestion or acidity??

Thanks & Regards

Brief Answer:
It could be any of these problems though unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
There could be chances of Gallstones or Cholecystitis. Cholangitis is unlikely.
The diagnostic tests I have mentioned earlier would be able to diagnose these problems as well.
Kidney stones are not related to Gallstones. They have different compositions and there is no relation between the two.
The value of the SGOT & SGPT are near normal and you dont need to worry about it.
The pain is probably due to Gastritis or maybe Pancreatitis. That is why I had advised the above investigations to get to the root of the problem,
Do let me know if there are other concerns.
Take care,
Dr Rishi, New XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
