Question: After consulting with one of your doctors for leg cramps, I have been taking B-Complex. I am also taking slow magnesium which was recommended by my doctor. I am having terrible stomach aches and distension which I have had before when taking vitamins. Can you suggest anything?

Stop the supplements and may need anti spasmodic like drotaverine

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what you had gone through.

Based on the history you have shared, you need to stop the supplements temporarily and if cramps persist you may need to have anti spasmodic like drotaverine alongwith analgesics like acetaminophen for pains.

If distention or gaseous bloating is troubling you, using antacids like omeperazole or pantoprazole before meals can help. Meanwhile keep using soft diets avoiding too much junk or heavy greasy meals or fizzy drinks.

For muscle spasms muscle relaxants like orphenidrine or tizanidine can be used for short time during severe leg cramps if any. Local analgesics gels or capsaicin may also be used for leg cramps.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
