Question: SI joint pain for several weeks. Overthecounter meds not helping. HC seems to help a little. Only feel pain in right butt when seating on hard chairs. Will be driving to AZ 1800 miles in 2 weeks and would like to drive wo pain radiating down right leg above knee. Both CT and hip X-rays not significant based on my age 63. Any suggestions while driving?

Brief Answer:
Opioids, Physiotherapy

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

You can try Tablet Tramadol 300mg twice a day for 2 weeks. Also take Tablet Acetaminophen 500mg thrice a day . Alternatively your can apply a Buprenorphine patch for 7 days duration for pain relief. These medicines require a prescription.

Avoid bending forwards or lifting weights. Avoid sitting cross legged, squatting. Apply hot packs to the affected regions. Apply pain killer gel. Perform low back extension and strengthening exercises from a good Physiotherapist.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
