Brief Answer:
May be viral or allergic bronchitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear XXXXX
Welcome to HCM and thanks for the query
I understand your concern and sorry to hear about your problem

Your symptoms could be due to viral or allergic bronchitis.
If it is not associated with fever, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest congestion then nothing to worry and take following advises for next 7 days.
-Take Cough syrup containing guaifenesin and dextromethorphan (Q tussin CF): 10 ml three times a day
-Drink plenty of lukewarm water
-Steam inhalation 3-4 times a day
-Strepsil throat lozenges (neem and honey flavor):take every 3 hourly
-Avoid cold beverages and exposure to pollutants

This is my personal opinion based on details available here.
Consult the internal medicine specialist to share my view. If the cough persists despite using the above medication then further workup would be required.
If you still have any other query then I will be happy to help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
