Brief Answer:
I will tell you some solutions till you get back culture results.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Welcome to Health Care Magic.
My name is Dr Muhammad Ahmad & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way.I am sorry to know about your condition , here i will try to suggest some home remedies and medical solutions which you can get over the counter and this will help you till you get your culture results back which might take 7 odd days.

If i were your treating GP:
1-In my clinic i would recommend my patients clarythromycin (or atleast amoxil or augmentin)
2-A decongestant like pseudo ephedrine twice daily.
3-Brufen or tylenol.
4-an antihistamin or tab allegra-D
5- And a cough syrup.
But i am not sure what is available with you at the moment. You should get
Allegra-D and cough syrup over the counter.

House hold remedies which can be tried:

1-Steam inhalation.
2-Taking warm steamy shower helps sometimes.
3-Take green tea twice a day and keep drinking water it will help to thin out mucus clogged in your nose and this will help your sinuses and nose to get better draining.
4-Use warm compresses, place it at your forehead and cheek prominences. It will soften blockages in your sinuses.
5-Over the counter nasal decongestant can be used.

SUGGESTION:

You can use remedies i suggested and hopefully it will give you enough relief to wait for your culture without agony.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
