Question: Hello, I am 26 years old and have been experiencing pain in my abdomen for about 10 years now. The pain is locate right above my belly button by about half an inch. It is a very sensitive area and just by placing my finger on that spot it causes discomfort. The pain initially felt like I had been stabbed when it all started. After about 4 or 5 days the pain slowly decreased, but by no means ever went away. I have had an ultrasound, my gallbladder removed, 2 endoscopies, 2 colonoscopies, xrays, CT scans (done 2 different ways), blood tests and still nothing has come up with a reason for this pain. Please help!

Brief Answer:
Seems IBS

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing in.

Considering the fact that most reports are normal, it is advisable you get a clinical examination done.

Looking to the stress levels I presume you have either/ and stress induced gastritis and irritable bowel syndrome.

In both situations, it is best to manage stress levels
Avoid spicy fermented and fried meals
Avoid smoking and alcohol if used to

Take a good proton pump inhibitor like Pantoprazole and a good probiotic twice a day for minimum of 3-4 weeks

Hope this helps
