Brief Answer:
It could be balanitis or balanoposthitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

It could be balanitis or balanoposthitis (infection of glans penis)

Can you please take a clinical photograph of the affected part and upload as there is a feature to send images on the right side of query page.

It would be also helpful for me to diagnose and rule out and also,if you could say if is there is any history of unprotected intercourse in recent past?

The important thing is to diagnose it first by a clinical examination by a general surgeon by doing inspection and palpation.

The following treatment would be helpful.

1) Hot Sitz bath-

Sit for 15-- 20 minutes and also clean off any clear or whitish secretion. Do it at least twice a day.

2. Local Steroid cream/ointment application- Clean off and wipe off the area clean and dry, following which apply local steroid ointment like betamethasone The infection should start subsiding after 3 to 4 of Ointment application.

3. You can be given oral antibiotics like cephalosporins (cefadroxyl or cefixime) or quinolones or macrolides but only after complete clinical examination.

Hope this information will be helpful to you.

Brief Answer:
Start treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the follow-up.

It is good that you do not have any STD and have same partner since long time.

This irritation could be allergic (dermatitis) or may be infective.

You can go for complete hemogram with ESR to rule out any infection.

Take treatment as I suggested earlier and I would expect you will feel better within 3 to 4 days of this treatment.

In case if this doesn't work then I would advice you to see family physician or dermatologist (preferably) to find out the cause.
