Question: Dear sir,

My father is having parkinson problem since 6_7 years. Alsohe got paralysed on tongue and right leg. Since then he is taking betaloc 50, eslo 5, xtron 10. Since two weeks he has started taking syndopa plus on consultation wid neurophysician. Last week he fell down and got severe pain in back. Though he said that some pain.was always there in his lower spine. We came to hospital and did mri ctscan, bone marrow examination and all sorts of blood and urine reports. In mri it showed some marrow infiltrative diaorder and multifocal infection. In bone marrow examination it showed mds-rar. Ct scan showed lung infiltration. Doctor is suggesting biopsy again from infected areas in spine. Earlier it was taken from lower spine. We are confused whether we are going in right direction. Is mds a serious problem or it can be due to infection. Currently doctor has started forecox for tb although blood report for tb wqs negative. Please guide.

After he fell down he could not move and sit. He ia in lying position since 9 days. Also when he moves slightly or take medicine his breathing gets faster and he short of breath

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
Your father has MDS and tuberculosis.
MDS ia a type of cancer. It should be taken seriously. It is not due to infection. It is other pathology of bone marrow. It needs chemotherapy.
