Question: hello Doctor ,

I had a pain in my knee I went to many hospitals and I did many X rays , at the end they told me that I have fluids inside the knee bone and there is swelling inside ( kind of calm cancer ) and it needs to be removed as soon as possible and they scheduled an operation date after 10 days , the operation will be that they will cut a circle ( not endoscopy )that the place had this swelling and remove it and then fill the bone again , my question is that how long it will take after the operation so I can walk not normal walk but just move ?

Thank you so much for all your efforts .

Brief Answer:
6-8 weeks to walk.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
After the removal of the fluid and filling the space with bone it takes around 4-6 weeks for the bone to be properly calcified. You will have to be non wight bearing on the leg till then. The time taken for healing depends on the size of the swelling.
It will take 6-8 weeks to walk normally again.
I hope this answers your query.
