Question: Half dollar size lump on groin area painful to touch . Gently squeezed and dark red blood shot out , a lot . Was dripping from hand now clear fluid draining out of it. Why? Or what is going on ? Holiday Monday do

Looks like abscess.

Hello,

Looks like a forming abscess, which you drained before formation of pus.Dark blood is very likely to be inspissated collection in process of forming pus.

If there is no fever or significant pain, no need to rush to ER.If these symptoms are there, then you will need antibiotic cover.

You can visit your GP tomorrow.

Meanwhile keep the region clean.
