Question: Hello,

I have a large painful bump located inside of butt crack near top. It appears to be somewhat deep and brused . I have had no recent injury or Trama. Also there is a rash on surrounding area . The pain is pressure, burning , aching and sometimes itching . It hurts to walk and sit . Any ideas on what it could be ? Also , should I see a dermatologist or GP?

Brief Answer:
Most likely Pilonidal sinus.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely Pilonidal sinus. Constant accumulation of sweat and dirt and hair follicle infection can be the reason for this.

Antibiotic therapy will be required for this. Antibiotic alone is not helpful in most cases. Incision and drainage also will be required. You can consult your GP for this.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
