Brief Answer:
Take oral antibiotics with pain killers.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to health care magic,

Boils are formed when oil ducts become clogged and infected.

Boils are commonly due to bacterial infection (mostly staphylococcal) in a person with problems with the immune system or poor hygiene but the exact reason behind is not known.

You can take small course of oral antibiotics like cephlaosporins (cefadroxyl or cefixime) or fluroquinolones with over the counter analgesics (diclofenac 100 mg) and antiinflammatories (ibuprofen) to get rid off that.

Apart from medical treatment, if boil is larger than 2 to 3 inch then it must be treated with incision and drainage with warm compression and strict cleanliness of the wound.

Small boils could be treated with proper gram-positive antibiotic coverage for 3 to 5 days small course. Longer course of antibiotics must be avoided as it will lose the effectiveness of the drug or might develop resistance to the bacteria.

You can consult some local doctor or GP who will know about it and can prescribe the antibiotics.

Hope this will help you.
