Suggest Treatment For Pain In Upper Chest

Question: Since yesterday I've had serious pain in my upper chest, left side, above breast and below shoulder almost adjacent to my under-arm. Hurts more when moving than still, and seems to have gotten worse as the day progresses.

Hello,

All such chest pains are to be taken as an emergency till they are investigated.Most worrisome cause is heart attack/angina.Other causes are muscle pull or chest issues.

Ideal would be to go to ER and get EKG done asap.Dont do any physical activity.Please ask some one to take you to the hospital sooner.

Let hospital know in advance that you are coming.

DOCTOR, AS I MENTIONED IN MY MEDICAL HISTORY I MADE A MISTAKE IN MY QUESTION - THE PAIN IS ON THE FAR RIGHT SIDE OF MY UPPER CHEST. I DON'T THINK THIS IS HEART RELATED.

A clinical evaluation and chest xray is needed to know underlying cause.
