Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Right Breast

default
Posted on Thu, 31 Aug 2017
Question: I have pain in the tissue of my right breast. I did have an x-ray a year or so ago but the pain now stays with me most of the day. We did buy a firmer bed and I do seem to sleep on that side most of the time but I would like the pain to go away. When I was 13 to 14 yrs old I started to develop man boobs and it has been somewhat of an embarrassment most of my life.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound required

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
If there is no some palpable knot inside the breast and no nipple discharge then you should not be worried since this is probably just muscular or neural pain and it should be treated with ibuprofen and warm compresses. However, xrays is not accurate enough for tissue evaluation and if pain persist it would be good to do breast ultrasound. Wish you good health. Regards
