Brief Answer:
Possibility of lumbosacral radiculopathy

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns for your wife.

Low back pain with radiation to lower limbs need investigation and management accordingly.

Is there any radiation to lower limbs?
Any motor weakness, sensory loss or urinary complains?
Any history of trauma?

The X-ray findings of spina bifida is showing the bony abnormalities which may have developed and present since birth.

It is common finding and may not be associated with any other problems.
Reduced disc space needs evaluation by doing a MRI.
You can provide more details regarding symptoms.
She should continue taking the calcium and vitamin D supplementation.
Pregabalin, Gabapentin or Amitryptiline can be taken for pain radiation.
If needed pain killers with muscle relaxant like Etoricoxib or Aceclofenac with Thiocholchicoside or Tizanidine can be taken.
Please get back with MRI.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
