Question: my right testicle started having a little pain tonight's while I was sitting on the couch watching tv. now it isn't a sharp pain but it kind of has that feel as if I was hit in my testicle. my stomach growls as if it is hungry but clearly I am not. it just came out of nowhere but it comes and goes. any idea what kind of medication I can take?

Brief Answer:
It is possibly after effects of injury or UTI.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Is there any burning while passing urine or any pain abdomen or fever?
If not then Urinary tract infection(UTI) is less likely.
It would probably just be an injury that would have not been noticed and should go away in a day or two. You could take pain medicines like Tab Diclofenac sodium or Ibuprofen on full stomach if there is severe pain.
If the feeling persists over a couple of days you should get examined by your GP or a Surgeon who can rule out problems like Hernia, urinary stones or infection.
Take care and do let me know if there are other queries that I can help you with.

no burning while passing urine & no fever....no pain in abdomen just a lil pain in the right testicle which I can usually feel but again it comes & goes...
if it is a possible hernia (I hope not), how could that happen while just sitting on the couch?

Brief Answer:
There is minor chance of it being a hernia.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Nice to hear from you.
There is a small possibility that it could be an Inguinal hernia.
It can only be confirmed or ruled out by an examination. Without examining you no one can tell whether there is a hernia or not.
You will need to get examined for the same.
Hernia would not have happened by sitting on the couch. Abdominal wall weakness would have been there earlier and slowly the weak wall gives way to a sac containing abdominal contents in a sac which pushes towards the groin or the skin. It is a slow process and not necessarily due to exercise or trauma.
Do not worry about that.
Get yourself examined if the feeling persisits over a couple of days or you see any lump or swelling in that are.
Do not worry, it is easily treatable if it is there.
Take care,
