The pain is in both lower legs in the calf and shin area. It is present everyday all day and night. The pain is mild but my legs seem to be getting weaker over the past 4 years these symptoms have been present. I run on average every other day approx 20 minutes on tread mill. Have always told my doctor of this problem however he cannot give me a answer. My sodium serum and chloride levels on my last complete blood panel were just under the lower range of standard.

Suggestion in view of lack of information that the user has not provided

Detailed Answer:
You have not answered all the questions.
I would like you to answer them for a valid response.
Considering the information given so far there is a possibility that there may be either
1. myopathy. This is muscle weakness. This can be diagnosed via muscle biopsy. Since CPK is normal, I wont consider it.
2. neuropathy is a possibility and can be confirmed via nerve conduction studies.
3. radiculopathy is a possibility. This is usually accompanied by backacke. since I dont have the answers I asked, I cannot be sure. MRI spine may be needed.
Please let me know the answers to my questions for more specific answers.
Best of luck

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for the information.
In view of the additional information I would consider your symptoms to be myalgia.
Electrolytes and fluids imbalance are 1 od the most common cause.
Are you taking the recommended 3 to 4 litres of water daily?
you have already said that sodium was low. you should take added salt to correct this.
I would also suggest testing vitamin D and calcium levels.
Do let me know the reports for further information.
Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
