Brief Answer:
Tramadol / Flupirtine are better and safer options

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.

Novo-Difenac is Diclofenac which is a pain killer of NSAIDs Group.

You have mentioned that you have been wondering that if you could take this drug for Pain due to Osteoarthritis.

My honest opinion would be that you should avoid this drug.

As pain of Osteoarthritis is not an Acute pain only, it is a Chronic Painful condition, so you would require a painkiller very frequently and might be daily.
And consuming Novo-Difenac chronically can actually cause following troubles to you :
1. Severe Gastritis and Ulcers.
2. Can damage your Kidneys.
3. Can also affect the liver.

So, i don't recommend this drug for Chronic Painful conditions.

I would advise you to take drugs like Tramadol, Flupirtine as on when required basis. This drug is very effective for pain and is relatively safe.

Before i can discuss the dose and frequency of this drug with you, please answer the following:
1. How often do you require a pain killer for your condition?
2. Do you take any other medication for this problem or are you on any other medication for any other health issues.
3. What is your weight?
4. How is your sleep?

This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any query you may please ask me and revert with the answer of the above questions so that we can discuss the Tramadol Dosage and frequency best suited for you.
Stay Healthy.

Sleep is not a problem although I wake up twice during night and have to get up to stretch the bones.
After sitting in car for a length of time I can hardly straighten up when I stand up.
Weight is 190 lbs am 5'1 1/2".
Am also on Elmiron (for Interstitial Cystitis of the bladder), Periat for indigestion and Clonidine Hydrochloride for ( hot flashes).

Brief Answer:
Tramadol

Detailed Answer:
Welcome Back.
I appreciate your reply.
I would again say that you should avoid Tylenol and Aleve.
You can take Aleve when you have severe stiffness.
Moreover, since you are already taking Aleve, there is no point in taking Diclofenac in addition to it.
This would really affect your kidneys.
In such conditions i prescribe a combination of Paracetamol 500 mg and Tramadol 37.5 mg (like Ultracet) once in night time.
This would give you relief from pain and also would make you sleep comfortably.
So, discuss with your doctor about my opinion.

I hope this helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me, else you may close the discussion and rate it.
Stay Healthy.
