Question: I am having problems with my right foot swelling and turning red in the ankle area. I can't put any weight on it. What is my problem.

Have you had any injury of this area? Can you please attach a photo of it?
The most common reason of such symptoms is sprain of the ankle due to injury. Redness usually appears due to bruise caused by blood vessels rupture.
Other possible reasons are veins insufficiency, soft tissues infection.

It would be good to see orthopedist with this problem. In case of injury, x-ray is necessary.

If its veins insufficiency, Dopplers veins ultrasound should be done and surgery considered.

If you suffer from diabetes, infection is much more possible.
