Question: My wife is having pain throughout in the right leg and numbness in the right foot. Sometimes she feels numbness in whole of right leg when pain increases. She can walk or stand only for 2-3 minutes at a time.
The MRI report is attached.
Please advise whether we have to go for spine operation or there is some medication for relief.

Brief Answer:
she may improve with conservative measure

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.Going by the MRI report and her symptoms I am very hopeful of improvement with medicines like pregablin and vitamin B 12 beside ibuprofen and muscle relaxant thiocolchicoside.
Her slip disc is on leftside with symptoms in her right leg. This is contradictory.
To help her better please tell me -
1.Is she able to walk on her toes and heel?
2.Is there any loss of bladder and bowel control? Any bed wetting?
3.Is she diabetic?
Looking forward to your reply.
Take care
