Brief Answer:
Incorrect arm position. Impaired blood supply, or compressed nerve.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

If it was only one episode of pain and if you were sleeping, most probably your symptoms were caused by incorrect arm position during sleep.

Incorrect position when lying could impair arm blood supply, or can compress temporary a nerve, causing this way pain and other distorted sensations such burning feeling.

Since your symptoms went away by changing position, this means that blood supply restored, or nerve was relieved.

I don't think you need to worry much than necessary.

Those symptoms may be cause of concerns if they repeat often and affect your everyday activities.

In such case, medical evaluation is needed.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

I remain at your disposal for further questions and clarifications.

Take care.
