Suggest Treatment For Numbness In The Feet While On Pramipexole

default
Posted on Tue, 31 Jan 2017
Question: I take two 1.5mg pramipezole tablets at night in order to overcome my RLS AND be able to sleep. Usually it allows me to get to sleep but I rarely go to bed and feel the good feeling of drowsiness that I used to get before I fell asleep. If I run out and get caught with none to take it is a miserable night of restlessness and frustration. Is there another drug that I might ask about that has become a better medication? I also have the twitching and a degree of numbness in my feet.

Brief Answer:
If Pramipexone isn't working try other possibilities.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Unfortunately, there is no single drug that works better than the others in cases of restless legs syndrome.

Some drugs work better for some people, and don't work for other people.

So, it is necessary to discuss with your Doctor about switching to another drug, if Pramipexone use isn't working for you.

Other possible drugs to be used in RLS are, Ropinirole, Gabapentin, Pregabalin, Clonazepam, and if Iron deficiency, Iron supplements.

In some cases combination of drugs may be more effective.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Kind regards.
