Question: over the last 6 to 9 months i have had increased numbness in first my hands, and recently my forearms, and feet. I am a 44 yr old female. 5ft 8inches and weigh 9 stone 4lbs. I am fit. Work outdoors all day, but increased lethargy is becoming an issue. Brief Answer:
You need further evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Miss. XXXXXXX

Thanks for your question.

After going through your question, I can understand your concern.

Whatever the symptoms you have mentioned might be due to hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) which is most likely in your case (blood sugar level of 2mmol/L) or peripheral neuropathy.

Blood sugar level of 2 mmol/L denote hypoglycemia and not diabetes.

You should consult endocrinologist as early as possible for evaluation for cause of hypoglycemia.

Hope I have answered your question.
I will be happy to answer your follow up questions, if any.

Regards,
Dr. Abhay Mali.
