Question: I got hit in the nose pretty hard on Friday & lost ~2oz of blood at the time. Minimal swelling & no bruising the next 2 days. On day 3 (today), there's pain & pressure in eye / forehead area above the impact area. I have a flight in 5 hrs, can I take some aspirin & be ok or is it something serious?

Hi and welcome to HCM

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
It is not likely to be serious. such injuries rarely cause some significant nose damage and there is no specific treatment but resting and analgesia. After such injuries it is normal that headache, pain in nose, sinuses and exes, occur few days after because swelling in sinuses and nose. It will last for several more days and you should atke some of the standard painkillers such as ibuprofen, aspirinine or diclofenak. Also, if there is nose congestion you should take decongestant. Symptoms may worsen during flight, but nothing serious can happen. Wish you good health. Regards
