Brief Answer:
MRI cervical spine is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,

I understand your query and concern.

The Stiff neck symptoms have to be specially addressed giving due consideration to the importance of the cervical spinal cord lying in that area and the younger age group of yours.

I advise you to have an MRI( fast spin echo) of the cervical spine to detect any cervical disc disease which can be strongly contributing to the above mentioned symptoms.

Palpitations in your case are not part of the cervical disc disease in my opinion. They can be related to Generalized anxiety disorder/GAD.

Drugs like Anxiolytics for example Clonazepam 0.5-1 mg per day taken at bed time for 6 months will be effective in relieving stress and anxiety.

Please note that these drugs should be taken only under strict prescription of your doctor.

Stress management with regular breathing exercises will be helpful in controlling your palpitations.

I hope i have answered your query at the moment,
Post your further queries if any.
Thank You.

Thank you.

Yes I'll do the check up of stiff neck issue. But I just want to add that stiff neck is from upper right side of the posterior head and it is only on right side.

As far as anxiety is concerned, Yes I had met a general physician 6 months ago and he said prescribed me some Clonazepam tablets and told me to take for a month. But I did not and i really fear taking it as i read some side effects and all and after that i thought it would be OK as I was jobless that time and once I will be back to tract. But when I joined job it continued. Palpitations in stomach were as usual and has become part of life from 6-7 months kinda. I don't know what fear is about, but i suppose now i have to take medicines because it is not going by any other method.

Regards,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Its high time to take these medicines.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,
Welcome again.

I understand your query and concern.

Let me clarify to you that cervical spine disease can cause symptoms being referred to lower regions/base and sides of the head either left or right.

Its absolutely necessary for you to start the concerned drugs regarding your GAD.

Its high time that your control your stress symptoms with Clonazepam before they become resistant to therapy.

Yes of course, Clonazepam is associated with some side effects. But here you need to consider the Risk-Benefit ratio of your health issue.
Here the ratio is less than 1 which implies that you will be benefited more with drug therapy rather than the side effects that that affect you.

Hope i have answered your query at the moment.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Normaxin is not advisable.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,

Normaxin contains very long acting benzodiazepines like chlordiazepoxide. This can have lot more side effects like sedation, constipation and gastritis.

Hence i recommend you not to take this drug, but instead only stick to clonazepam .

Thank you.
